Dioni ten Busschen
Dioni-ten-Busschen-sculptures

In 2010, Dioni walked for the first time in a peatbog and stood on a large sponge of natural peat. Since then it has been her favourite material. Controlling this substance was a challenge, peat had never been processed in this way before. She designs and makes sculptures, objects, furniture and wall coverings. The natural environment of the peat inspires the choice of her subjects.

Her work has been exhibited in Stockholm IPS congres I Moor museum, Meppen Germany I Veenkoloniaal Museum Veendam I Museum Opsterlân Gorredijk I Leeuwarden, Cultural Capital of Europe 2018 I Museum Veenendaal I Museum Hemessen. She has a permanent exhibition in the Peatart gallery in Amsterdam
